Kids yoga pose |
-
Stand tall with your arms by your sides. Feel your feet
firmly on the floor.
-
Bring your hands together in front of your heart.
-
Turn one foot out, and slide it up the inside of your leg as
far as you can. Imagine roots growing from your foot on
which you’re standing, into the ground. Let your leg on
which you are standing be strong like the trunk of the tree.
Balance is easier if you find a point to focus on at
eye-level. If you are unsteady, put one arm on a wall for
balance.
-
Now stretch your arms up like branches. Don't worry if you
start to fall; just smile and start again from the
beginning. Breathe in and out while in the Tree pose.

Adults yoga pose |
-
Stand with the feet together and the arms by your sides.
-
Bend the right leg at the knee, raise the right thigh and
bring the sole of the right foot as high up the inside of
the left thigh as possible.
-
Balancing on the left foot, raise both arms over the head
keeping the elbows unbent and joining the palms together.
Hold the posture while breathing gently through the nostrils
for about 10 complete breaths.
-
Lower the arms and right leg and return to standing position
with feet together and arms at the sides. Pause for a few
moments and repeat on the opposite leg.
-
Hold the pose as long as you comfortably can. Repeat it two
or three times on each leg.
